Twitter is now called X
Company owner and CEO Elon Musk revealed the new logo on Sunday, July 23, 2023, saying the company would rebrand to X and later branch out into payments, banking and commerce.
The available features have not changed substantially yet, especially the visual appearance, logos and the launch of a new x.com site.
Lord TikTok
Text-only posts are coming
TikTok has announced that it is putting text post available to all users of the app, giving them another way to share a different form of content, with a view similar to Instagram Stories text updates.
As you can see in this example, TikTok text posts, tested by some users in the last few months, allow you to add text in full screen, to which you can then add music, stickers, etc.
You can change the background color to your liking, as well as the font of the text and its position in the frame. Your text messages can be up to 1,000 characters long, giving you the freedom to grab attention with your words in the app.
In fact text messaging is already quite common on the app, with poetry accounts sharing static images of poetry, accompanied by music. This new update makes the offer more formal, but expands posting options and may be a more responsive and engaging format for word-based updates.
The new “text” option will be available from the camera tools, which will take you to a page dedicated to creating text, where you can type your message. You’ll also be able to include tags and hashtags to link to other elements of the app.
It could be a useful addition or, at least, something to experiment with in the app.
