Scale influencer co-branded products for our Amazon brands

I recently spoke about how I believe we can establish our Amazon brand as a leader in our niche market. Here I already go into some ideas to maximally fulfill and scale the task.

I summarize a little my ideas from the past, which you can also find in the post linked above.

  1. Launch a product on Amazon. Once this product is more or less mainstream, Google searches will be performed by people searching for your brand outside of Amazon.
  2. Start an online store with your Amazon brand. Now it’s time to set up your own ecommerce to capitalize on these searches and best case improve your margin as you save on Amazon commissions by selling the product at the same price.
  3. Sell your product to distributors. Although the margin is much lower, it makes sense to also look for distributors for your products and build a B2B business. I have little experience with this, so it will be fun to learn it from scratch.
  4. Increase visibility with influencers. This is also a pending task. I would like to contact micro-influencers in our niche and offer them a collaboration. It’s nothing too innovative. This is what brands have been doing and doing for years.

These four steps are part of seamless scalability. At least “perfect” in my world. To this we can add one more step that I’ve been thinking about for a few weeks or even months, and that’s this:

  • Co-branding with influencers. As soon as we have established the cooperation with influencers, I would like to go one step further. My idea is a co-branding. It’s a lot easier than you might imagine after reading it for the first time. I want to bring the influencer’s brand together with our brand. This means that the influencer should be more involved in the promotion and presentation of the product by seeing their own name on the packaging. That’s the full visibility we can reasonably offer you. Your name is on the packaging, not directly on the product. This allows us to avoid higher production costs because we have to invest in new molds or something similar. It only affects the packaging of the product.

We’ll see if we can implement this idea. Now is the time to focus on taking one step at a time. It’s fun to think about the future, but the important thing is to implement it in the present. We must never forget that.

Stay tuned.
