Why are we having so many incidents on Amazon right now?

For the past two weeks, small browns have been spawned daily. There hasn’t been a day that we haven’t had an accident of some sort.

The to-do list has grown a lot these days. Instead of being able to focus solely on introducing new products, we have to solve “little problems”. When one is fixed, the next emerges.

New products and categories

I’ll be honest. I am surprised and not surprised that we are in this situation. A company that wants to handle as many ads as we do ends up piling up possible challenges to call it something. In these days we ate a little bit of everything:

  • Conflicts with other sellers.
  • Listings blocked by copyright issues.
  • Shipments that do not reach Amazon and need to be investigated and claimed by Amazon.
  • Unlock brands and categories with special requirements.
  • Failures in recently launched new products.
  • Tax doubts to manage products with reduced VAT.

The good and the bad. The bad thing is the work and noise these things accumulate. The good thing is the experience we accumulate through these additional tasks. We are growing every day in our knowledge of the things that can be done and how to do them with Amazon.

How to reduce noise in the future

This way of working is not productive. We need to reduce noise in the future. This is the plan:

  1. Have fewer products and increase the minimum ROI threshold required.
  2. Increase your billing and profit rate with your own products and brands.
  3. Launch new products only in the first half of each year.

We are experiencing a change. Right now this noise is inevitable because we have to grow our turnover and we have to do it quickly. We are taking the right steps to become a more organized and structured company. It won’t be fast. At least not as fast as I would like.

Stay tuned.
