Underwater advertisements to promote the D*na Festival Dénia gastronomic festival


If people are on the beach… why don’t we put advertising in the water? And if it’s a gastronomic festival… why don’t we let the fish taste the gastronomy too? This is the starting point of this peculiar campaign to promote the new edition of the D*na Festival in Denia.

The work of the Sapristi agency, this action consisted of placing several physical advertisements in a place where we are not used to seeing advertisements: underwater on the city’s main beaches. The target? Surprise all the people who are into scuba diving to enjoy the seascapes.

As they say from the agency, these ads “rather than designed, they were cooked.” And it is that they have been “made from natural ingredients with which a compacted fish feed has been prepared on which pressing and labeling techniques have been applied to make the inscriptions”. In this way, in contact with water, the advertisement gradually flaked off and became food for marine life.

The D*na Festival will be held on September 30 and October 1 on the Paseo de la Marineta Cassiana in Dénia. There, gastronomy will be the protagonist at the hands of the best national and international chefs.
