–> A Vivatech, Maurice Levy questioned Elon Musk on the future of agencies in the age of AI. The answer delivers Pum Lefebure, co-founder of the agency Design Army (Washington) with the campaign “Adventures in A-Eye”, a notable play on words and a campaign for an American optometrist. Her friend Rei Inamoto asked her about the origin story (see here). “It took Midjourney a week to come up with the first idea. The campaign was finished within a week and she was able to present an almost finished work. Over the next two weeks, she worked with her teams to finalize the glasses and typo to be reflected in the final version. A campaign was created in a month. Typically, a campaign of this caliber takes several months, involves multiple people, and costs $500,000. Pum didn’t share how much she’d sold the campaign, but responded, “Customers have to pay. You will pay for my eyes, taste and talent based on decades of experience? When I gave young designers the same assignment, the results weren’t so good.”
