(Report) The impact of threads since launch

Launched on July 5, 2023, the application Discussions it is the latest addition to the stable Half. Closely related to Instagram, Threads wants to be a direct competitor of X. This unexpected launch caused a real madness from the first week (100 million users in 5 days), but since mid-July more than half of the users are no longer really active there and Mark Zuckerberg knows it well, but remains optimistic.

Furthermore, the adoption of Threads cannot be done properly in the European Union, because the application does not yet comply with the rules on the exploitation of personal data. It is therefore not “officially” available on our usual stores (but there is a way around this by searching for a few seconds on the internet 😉).

For now, Threads lacks basic and essential features (web version, private messaging, hashtags, etc). But improvements are already in the works! 🔧

Although it is very recent, the application already has some figures, and this, thanks to a survey carried out by EXCEPTIONAL (an influencer marketing platform) to over 1,200 US social media users in the first 10 days of Threads.

Some key figures:

54% of influencers have already published a sponsored post on Threads

Threads is aimed primarily at young people, as only 36% of people aged 45-60 created an account in the first 10 days

🧐 According to an analysis by Website Planet, posts on Threads receive more likes than on X for almost 90% of brands despite the latter having fewer subscribers on Threads!

66.7% of current Thread users say they use the app more than when they first signed up

Curiosity (38.1%) is the top reason users created a Threads account
