Highlights, a new feature to better express your ideas
Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, he has significantly transformed the microblogging platform, adding several new tools and features that allow users to express and share their ideas in unique ways.
His latest tool? “Highlights Tab”, a feature very similar to Instagram’s “Highlights”. It allows users to save and showcase their favorite tweets in a separate tab on their profile, adding a new dimension to the possibilities of the social network, as demonstrated by this tweet by graphic designer Doge Designer on Twitter.
Previously, Twitter allowed users to pin a tweet to the top of their profile to promote it. But the platform goes even further.
The Twitter Highlights feature has been in testing for several weeks and is finally available to all users. However, users need a subscription Twitter blue to highlight their tweets.
Featured tweets appear in a separate Twitter tab. But before you get started, you’ll need to sign up for a Twitter Blue subscription. As a non-paying user, if you select the “Add” option, you will be automatically redirected to the Twitter Blue registration process.
After subscribing, do the following:
- Select the tweet you want to highlight.
- Tap the three dots button, look for the “Highlight on Your Profile” option and then tap on it.
- Your selected tweet will now appear in a separate “Highlights” tab.
Draw more attention to your content
Back in 2015, Twitter introduced a feature called “Highlights,” which was a simple summary of top tweets for users, displayed via a push notification. This new Twitter Highlights feature is therefore an extension of the old version.
Would you like to generate subscriptions? This new feature is ideal as it showcases your best tweets within the app. It can also be a great way to gain potential followers and highlight how unique your tweets are! As « Instagram Highlights allows you to showcase your best stories on your profile.
Don’t forget this training course “Developing your activities with community management”. It prepares you to implement an effective social media strategy, adapted to your target audience and marketing goals, no matter which social network you use.
Finally, unlike Twitter Moments, it lets you create and organize longer content to tell interesting stories. With Twitter Highlights, on the other hand, you can keep a collection of your favorite tweets in a separate tab on their profile.
The feature can therefore be used by creators to draw more attention to selected content. For brands, this could work for showcasing products, reviews, training, events, and more.
